The applicant must:
- Available to a graduating student of School District #79
- Awarded to a graduating student in SD #79 who intends to further his/her education at any recognized university, college, vocational or technical schoolÂ entering into a trades program or an animal science program.
- The bursasry will be awarded upon receipt of proof of acceptance and registration at a recognized post secondary institution.
The bursary is awarded based on the following combination of factors:Â need, involvement in school clubs or councils, contribution to the community, academic achievement at the secondary level in SD #79, and athletic involvement at the secondary level or within the Cowichan Valley community.
The bursary is to be used within 4 months of graduation.Â An extension of up to a maximum of 15 months may be granted upon receipt of a written request.Â This will be reviewed by the Bursary Committee.
Special application form is not required.
