Office 365 Tutorial

 

For Students:

Your 0365 account:
1. Email: student number@sd79.bc.ca (for example: 123456@sd79.bc.ca)
2. Password: welcome is the default.  At the beginning of each year, you will have to log on to a school computer and change your password.  Your personal devices will not connect to wifi until this is complete.  Once complete, your password is an SSO (single sign on) so it is the same for O365, wifi, and printing.

3. Teams: many teachers use the Teams app for their class.  The chat feature on Teams only works for students to message Teachers. Students can not message other students unless a group chat is set up by a teacher who is responsible for monitoring it.

4. Outlook: the email used for login is a full service email. However, it is deleted once a student graduates so it is not recommended to be used for any service that is meant to go beyond graduation, such as MyBlueprint.

5. OneDrive: this is where you will find ALL documents you create and upload: Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Sway. All apps autosave so you never lose work unless you delete it from OneDrive directly or you edit your document as it autosaves any changes.
