Dry Grad Fundraising

Dry Grad is a spectacular and safe no alcohol or drugs end of high school event organized by the parents of graduating students. Since the inception of Dry Grad in 1989, there have been no fatalities in the Cowichan Valley on Grad night.

If you are a parent of a student who will graduate in the year 2022 and want to help, please let us know! You can email the front desk secretary and leave your name to be contacted until the group has formed their executive and contact list. Please see their first message of the year below:

Welcome all Graduate Parents!

An exciting and challenging year lies ahead for our students. For us parents another year of unknowns as far as what grad will look like as we enter into yet another Covid Winter/Spring. One thing is for certain though ~ the more of us involved in fundraising and figuring these challenges out, the better that grad is going to be for our kids.

Please join us for our first Dry Grad meeting, this one to be held in person at the Evergreen School outdoor pavilion on TUESDAY SEPT 28TH AT 6:30pm. There is lots of room to social distance at this outdoor space and while we may switch to a Zoom format after this, it will be good to all meet each other in person at least once before that happens. Please bring a chair and dress warmly. We will endeavour to keep the meeting to an hour or less if possible.

And while we have you, please spread the word about our ‘ON YOUR TIME, ZERO CONTACT BOTTLE DRIVE’ happening all year long. Drop off your bottles and cans ANYTIME day or night at 3876 McAlpine Road in Cobble Hill – Telegraph to Aros Road then onto left onto McAlpine… follow McAlpine to the end of the road, it becomes gravel and turns left down a hill. The drop off location is in front of the large black open tent on the right at the bottom of the hill.

Please also save your Country Grocer and Great Greens receipts as these generous businesses donate back a percentage of all sales to our fundraising efforts. Receipts can be dropped off at the Kelsey office or at the bottle drop-off location on McAlpine Road in Cobble Hill.

Thanks and hope to see you next Tuesday at 6:30pm!
