Ministry Assessment Info


These assessments are currently mandatory for a Dogwood graduation: Literacy 10, Numeracy 10, and Literacy 12.

Scheduled times for individual students to write are posted on the bulletin board between counselling and the library entrance approximately a week before the assessment windows in November, January, April, and June. Advisors are also sent scheduled times for their students.  Parents are emailed with a general notice of the assessment windows but can contact their child’s advisor for more info. They can also email the data clerk at or contact the vice-principal responsible for assessments.

In order to meet graduation requirements and be awarded a British Columbia Certificate of Graduation (Dogwood Diploma), students must earn a minimum of 80 credits (see our Attendance and Reporting page for more info) and write the following three mandatory provincial assessments:

Grade 12 Literacy Assessment
